Rental and Privacy Policies

Below are the basic terms and conditions for houseboat or watercraft rentals, as well as online privacy and payment policies. Policies are subject to change and may be subject to approval by the National Park Service, US Forest Service or other administrative agency.

Houseboat Deposit & Payment Terms

A first day's deposit, prior to any applicable discounts or promotions, is required to confirm your reservation and will be applied directly toward the rental rate. Deposits are no longer retained as security or damage deposits during your rental period.

Payment in full is required 45 days prior to boarding your houseboat.

Reservation Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel, notify us at least 45 days before your departure date. Your deposit will be refunded less a $150 cancellation fee. Cancellations received between 44 and 30 days before departure are subject to a cancellation fee equal to your deposit amount. Cancellations received less than 30 days before scheduled departure are subject to forfeiture of total prepayment. Full payment shall be paid at least 45 days before departure date. If full rental payment is not received at least 45 days before departure date, your reservation will be considered cancelled and your entire deposit will be forfeited. Reservations made less than 45 days in advance must be paid in full within 48 hours of booking.

If you must reschedule your vacation or change your equipment rental during the same year, there is a $50.00 change fee when original departure date is more than 45 days in advance. Any rescheduling requests 44 days or less before original departure date will be treated as a cancellation. See cancellation policy. We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as a cause for cancellation. For this reason, we recommend "Trip Cancellation Protection". For additional information regarding this option, see definitions below.

Rental Age Limit

All rentals are limited to adults age 21 and older with valid automobile driver's license. Rates do not include tax, fuel, or any optional waivers.

Minimum Rental Periods

The Minimum Houseboat Rental is two (2) days (depending on boat model and season). The Minimum Watercraft Rental is two (2) hours.

Security Deposit

Houseboats: Security deposit is applied toward rental rate.

Small Watercraft (PWCs, Ski Boats, etc.): Security deposit is in addition to rental rate and is refundable upon the small watercraft rental being returned to the marina fueled, cleaned and unloaded on time and in the same condition as checked out.

Trip Cancellation Protection

Protects your vacation funds in case of an emergency resulting in the cancellation of your rental. Trip Cancellation Protection may ONLY be purchased up to 60 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF DEPARTURE, and is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

Facilitating Fee

If you must reschedule your vacation due to a conflict with the original date requested, you may do so if it is at least 60 days before your original departure date during the same calendar year. You will be charged a non-refundable $50.00 facilitating fee, per change made to your original reservation.

Rates along with Terms and Conditions are subject to change, and National Park Service and/or the applicable state agency's approval.

Small Watercraft Policies

If you must cancel your small watercraft reservation (ski boat, fishing boat, PWC, etc.), you must notify us at least 3 days prior to your departure date to avoid a cancellation penalty. Any cancellations received within 3 days of your departure date will result in the loss of your deposit, up to the 1-day rental rate. Your small watercraft reservation will be cancelled if you do not pay the balance due on your reservation by the due date. Cancellations for non-payment will result in the loss of your deposit, up to the 1-day rental rate. Note: The full balance of your small watercraft rental is due 21 days prior to your departure date.
